Product Overview

The TMDSEMU200-U is a XDS200 JTAG emulator for TI embedded processors. It offers a balance of low cost and good performance between the super low cost XDS100 and high performance XDS560 classes of JTAG debuggers. The XDS200 supports both traditional IEEE 1149.1 (JTAG) and IEEE 1149.7 (cJTAG) and it features a 20 pin cJTAG header as well as adapters for 14 pin TI, 20 pin ARM and 10 pin ARM Cortex JTAG headers. Target board JTAG interface levels of +1.5V to +4.1V are supported with this emulator. It also supports USB connection to the host computer running the 32bit and 64bit versions of Microsoft Windows and Linux. The XDS200 is compatible with TI's Code Composer Studio IDE(TM) v5.3 and newer. This combination gives the user a complete robust tool chain for hardware debug and algorithm development.
  • Supports Stellaris, C2000, Hercules, Sitara, C66xx, C64x+, C674x, C55xx, C54xx, DaVinci and OMAP
  • Does not support MSP430 or older families like C62xx, C670x, C671x, C672x, C641x
  • Support for targets with 1.8V and 3.3V I/O voltages
  • USB bus powered and no external power supply required
  • Support for "power on reset" boot modes using the two EMU pins sampled by the TVD pin
  • Support for configuration of EMU pin features through Code Composer Studio setup
  • Supports ETB trace and SWD modes
  • USB 2.0 communications to host PC
  • Advanced emulation controller provides high performance
