Product Overview
ADUM5403WCRWZ-1 is a quad-channel digital isolator with isoPower®, an integrated, isolated dc-to-dc converter. This device eliminates the need for a separate, isolated DC-DC converter in low-power, isolated designs. The iCoupler chip scale transformer technology is used to isolate the logic signals and for the magnetic components of the dc-to-dc converter. The result is a small form factor, a total isolation solution. It provides an upgraded voltage reference to ensure proper startup under all load conditions. isoPower uses high-frequency switching elements to transfer power through its transformer. Special care must be taken during printed circuit board (PCB) layout to meet emissions standards. The application includes hybrid electric battery management.

- Pulse width distortion is 6ns max (tPLH − tPHL, TA = 25°C, VDD1 = VSEL = VISO = 5V)
- Propagation delay skew is 15ns max (between any two units, TA = 25°C, VDD1 = VSEL = VISO = 5V)
- Output rise/fall time is 2.5ns typ (10% to 90%, TA = 25°C, VDD1 = VSEL = VISO = 5V)
- 16-Lead SOIC-W package, operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C
