Our range of sensor connectors includes male connectors, female connectors, and sensor cables
Types of sensor connector
The primary use of such connectors is to create complex automated systems, but the variety of processes that employ them creates demand for different variants. These range from uses such as simple digital commands, to heavy-duty data and power transfer.
The connectors are easy to differentiate due to their visual features and simple coding system. This means understanding which one to use under any circumstance is mostly fool-proof and practical. Key sensor connector coding and applications are summarised here (Other codes are available):
- A-coded: A variety of sensors, actuators, and motors
- B-coded: Network cables for Fieldbus
- C-coded: AC sensors and actuators
- D-coded: High-speed data transfer up to 100Mbps for network cables
- X-coded: High-speed data transfer to 10Gbps
- S-Coded: Newer variant of C-coded
- T-coded: Newer variant of A-coded
