Product Overview
The A450 is a RS-232 to RS-485 Interface Converter provides multidrop up to 32 drivers and 32 receivers at distances over 1200m. The device is used to connect any RS-232 device onto an RS-485 multidrop bus. The monitor mode of the device is a special bus snooping setting that allows an installer or designer to look at what is happening on both pairs of a 4-wire RS-485 bus.
- Supports both 4-wire and 2-wire operation
- Transient protection on RS-485 lines
- Transmits data at up to 115Kbps
- Non-powered RS-485 operation over distances up to 100m
- Switchable DCE/DTE selection for RS-232 port
- Switchable termination resistors for RS-485 port
- Screw terminal connector on RS-485 port
- LED indicators for data activity
- Monitor mode allows problem diagnosis on the RS-422/485 bus
