Product Overview
ADM2914-EP is a quad voltage supervisory IC ideally suited for monitoring multiple rails in a wide range of applications. Each monitored rail has two dedicated input pins, VHx and VLx, which allow each rail to be monitored for both overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) conditions. A common active low undervoltage (active-low UV) and overvoltage (active-low OV) pin is shared by each of the monitored voltage rails. The three-state SEL pin determines the polarity of the third and fourth inputs, that is, it configures the device to monitor positive or negative supplies. The device incorporates an internal shunt regulator that enables the device to be used in higher voltage systems. This feature requires a resistor to be placed between the main supply rail and the VCC pin to limit the current flow into the VCC pin to no greater than 10mA. Typical applications are server supply monitoring, FPGA/DSP core and I/O voltage monitoring, telecommunications equipment, medical equipment.
- Includes a 1V buffered reference output, REF, that acts as offset when monitoring a negative voltage
- Quad UV/OV positive/negative supervisor, supervises up to 2 negative rails, glitch immunity
- Adjustable UV and OV input thresholds, high threshold accuracy over temperature is ±1.5%
- VCC shunt regulator voltage VSHUN is 6.9V max (ICC=5mA, TA=-55°C to +125°C, VCC=3.3V)
- Supply voltage is 2.3V to VSHUNT (TA =−55°C to +125°C, VCC=3.3V, VLx=0.45V, VHx=0.55V)
- Supply current ICC is 100μA max (VCC=2.3V to 6V, TA −55°C to +125°C, VCC=3.3 V, VLx=0.45V)
- Reference output voltage VREF range from 0.985 to 1.015V (IVREF=±1mA, TA=−55°C to +125°C, VCC=3.3V)
- 16-lead shrink small outline package [QSOP]
- Temperature rating range from -55°C to +125°C
