Product Overview
ADUM340E0BRWZ-RL is a quad-channel digital isolator. This isolation component combines high speed, complementary metal-oxide semiconductor, and back-to-back monolithic air-core transformer technology, providing outstanding performance characteristics. This meets CISPR 32/EN 55032 Class B limits at 5Mbps. The data channel of ADUM340E is independent and available in various configurations with a withstand voltage rating of 5.7kV rms. The device operates with a supply voltage on either side ranging from 2.25V to 5.5V, ensuring compatibility with lower voltage systems and enabling voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. Applications include isolation for serial peripheral interface (SPI) data converters, RS-485 and controller area network with flexible data rate industrial field buses, PWM controller signal isolation, and general-purpose multichannel isolation.
- Common-mode transient immunity is 180kV/µs typ (VIx = VDDx, VCM = 1000V, 5V, TA = 25°C)
- High robustness to radiated and conducted noise, output enable control pin
- Propagation delay range from 3.5 to 10ns (50% input to 50% output, 5V, TA = 25°C)
- Low dynamic power consumption is <lt/>1.65mA/ch at 1Mbps
- Data rate is 150Mbps min (within PWD limit, 5V, TA = 25°C)
- ±8kV IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection across isolation barrier
- ±5kV HBM ESD protection on input/output pins, default low output state
- UL recognition: 5700V rms for 1 minute per UL 1577, DIN EN IEC 60747-17 (VDE 0884-17)
- 10,000V peak reinforced surge isolation voltage, CSA per IEC 62368-1, IEC 61010-1 and IEC 60601-1
- 16-lead SOIC wide package, temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
