Product Overview
ADUM6402ARIZ is a quad-channel, 5kV isolator with isoPower®, an integrated DC-to-DC converter. This device eliminates the need for a separate, isolated dc-to-dc converter in low power, isolated designs. The ADuM6402 isolator that provides four independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates. isoPower uses high frequency switching elements to transfer power through its transformer. Special care must be taken during printed circuit board (PCB) layout to meet emissions standards. Application includes RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers, medical isolation, AC/DC power supply start-up bias and gate drives, isolated sensor interfaces.

- 40ns maximum pulse width distortion
- Schmitt triggered inputs, high temperature operation: 105°C maximum
- High common-mode transient immunity is <gt/>35kV/μs typical at (VIx = VDD1 or VISO, VCM = 1000V)
- UL recognition - 5000V rms for 1 minute per UL 1577, IEC 60601-1: 250V rms, IEC 60950-1: 400V rms
- VDE certificate of conformity, DIN V VDE V 0884-10 (VDE V 0884-10):2006-12, VIORM = 846 V peak
- Output rise/fall time is 2.5ns typical at (10% to 90%)
- Switching frequency is 180MHz typical at (TA = 25°C, VDD1 = VSEL = VISO = 5V)
- 16-lead SOIC-IC package, temperature range from -40°C to +105°C
