Product Overview
The DS18B20+PAR is a 1-Wire parasite power digital thermometer in 3 pin TO-92 package. This device provides 9 to 12bit centigrade temperature measurements and has an alarm function with nonvolatile user programmable upper and lower trigger points. The DS18B20+PAR do not need an external power supply because it derives power directly from data line (parasite power). It communicates over 1-Wire bus which by definition requires only one data line (and ground) for communication with a central microprocessor. Each DS18B20+PAR has a unique 64bit identification code which allows multiple DS18B20+PAR to function on same 1-wire bus thus it is simple to use one microprocessor to control many DS18B20+PAR distributed over a large area.
