Product Overview
LTC®5548 is a high performance, microwave double balanced passive mixer that can be used for frequency up conversion or down conversion. The device is similar to the LTC5549, but with a broadband, differential DC to 6GHz IF port. The LTC5548 is recommended for applications where the IF frequency range extends below 500MHz. For applications where the IF frequency is always above 500MHz. The device also includes an integrated LO frequency doubler, which can be enabled or disabled with a CMOS-compatible control pin. Application includes microwave transceivers, wireless backhaul, point-to-point microwave, phased-array antennas, C, X and Ku band RADAR, test equipment, satellite MODEMs.
- Selectable integrated LO frequency doubler
- Fast turn ON/OFF for TDD operation
- Supply voltage range from 3.0 to 3.6V (TC=25°C, VCC=3.3V)
- Typical supply current enabled is 120mA (TC=25°C, VCC=3.3V)
- Maximum shutdown current is 100μA (EN=low, TC=25°C, VCC=3.3V)
- Minimum input high voltage is 1.2V (TC=25°C, VCC=3.3V)
- Input current range from -30 to 100μA (-0.3V to VCC + 0.3V, TC=25°C)
- Typical chip turn-off time is 0.1μs (-0.3V to VCC + 0.3V, TC=25°C)
- Typical conversion loss is 6.0dB (RF Input=2GHz, IF=240MHz, low side LO)
- 12-lead plastic QFN package, temperature range from -40°C to 105°C
