Product Overview
The MAX823REXK+T is a microprocessor supervisory circuit with watchdog timer and manual reset in 5 pin SC-70 package. It combines reset output, watchdog and manual reset input functions in 5-pin SOT23 package. This device significantly improves system reliability and accuracy compared to separate ICs or discrete components. The MAX823 is specifically designed to ignore fast transients on VCC. This microprocessor's (µP's) reset input starts the µP in a known state and µP supervisory circuit assert a reset to prevent code execution errors during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. Typical applications include computers and controllers, embedded controllers, intelligent instruments, Automotive systems, critical µP monitoring and portable/battery powered equipments.
- Supply voltage range is 1.2V to 5.5V, supply current is 5µA (WDI and active-low MR unconnected)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Precision monitoring of +2.5V, +3V, +3.3V and +5V power supplies
- Active-low reset output, reset threshold voltage is 2.63V
- Watchdog input and manual reset input, watchdog timer with 1.6s timeout
- Fully specified over temperature
- Power on reset is 200ms
- Reset (complimentary) valid to VCC = 1V
- Power supply transient immunity
- No external components for watchdog or reset function
