Product Overview
The MAX14841EATA+T is a 3.3V, 40Mbps, RS485 half duplex transceiver in 8 pin TDFN package. This transceiver is optimized for high speeds over extended cable runs while maximizing tolerance to noise. The transmitter outputs and receiver inputs are protected ±15KV using IEC 1000-4-2 air gap discharge, ±8KV using IEC 1000-4-2 contact discharge and ±15KV using human body model. The MAX14841E has true fail-safe receiver inputs has a logic-high receiver output when inputs are shorted or open. Typical applications include motion controllers, fieldbus networks, industrial control systems, backplane buses and HVAC networks.

- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
- Shutdown supply current is 10μA
- Supply current is 1.5mA
- Hot swap capability eliminates false transition during power-up or hot insertion
- 1 unit load receiver input impedance
- Allows up to 32 transceivers on the bus
