MIKROE-6887 is a RS485 Isolator 5 Click compact add-on board designed to provide noise-immune, full-duplex RS-485 communication for long-distance data transmission in electrically harsh and safety-critical industrial environments. This Click board is based on the ISO1452, a full-duplex 5kVrms isolated RS-485 transceiver from Texas Instruments. It features a symmetrical isolation barrier tested to 5000VRMS per UL 1577, high immunity to IEC ESD and electrical fast transient events, and a wide isolated-side supply voltage range from 3V to 5.5V. Dedicated TX, RX, DE, and RE control lines enable driver and receiver management, while optional onboard termination footprints support flexible network configurations. This Click board is ideal for grid infrastructure, solar inverters, factory automation and control, motor drives, HVAC systems, and building automation networks requiring safe and long-range serial communication. RS485 Isolator 5 Click is fully compatible with the mikroBUS™ socket.
