Product Information
Product Overview
The POSISTOR PTFM series PTC Thermistor features Murata's strong ceramic technology allows the company to offer a line-up with a broad range of sensing temperatures. The PTFM series includes overheat sensing components that can be attached easily using screws. Exploiting the PTC characteristic (a sharp increase in resistance above a certain temperature), this PTC thermistor is used for overheat sensing in FETs, power ICs and other heat generating areas. Use of the sharp change in electrical resistance translates into outstanding noise resistance. PTC thermistor is elements whose resistance rises with an increase in temperature and find use in applications such as temperature sensing and current limitation. Murata POSISTOR® PTC thermistor employs elements based on ceramics (featuring) good reliability and performance. Operating point of POSISTOR is set on the steepest point along the resistance-temperature characteristic curve, thus performing overheat protective operation securely.
- PTFM_S series is fixed easily because of a screw clamp type
- Compact and light design as well as excellent thermal response
- Contactless operation provides a prolonged service life, yet permits noiseless operation
