Product Overview
FRDM-MCXW72 is a FRDM development board for MCX W72 wireless (2MB flash) Bluetooth channel sounding MCU. The FRDM-MCXW72 is a compact and scalable development board for rapid prototyping of the MCX W72 wireless MCU. It offers easy evaluation of the MCX W72's multiprotocol wireless support for Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, Thread and Matter. Two FRDM-MCXW72 boards can be used to evaluate the MCX W72 Channel Sounding and ranging features. The board includes an on-board MCU-Link debugger, industry standard headers for easy access to the MCU’s I/Os, an accelerometer, a light sensor and external SPI flash memory. Suitable for consumer and Industrial applications.

- MX25R6435FM2IL0 8MB SPI flash
- Bluetooth LE, channel sounding, Zigbee, thread and matter
- SPI/I²C/UART through Arduino®, mikroBUS or Pmod™ headers
- CAN-FD transceiver
- Debug: on-board MCU-Link debugger with CMSIS-DAP and JTAG/SWD connector
- Sensors: FXLS8964AF 3-axis accelerometer and ALS-PT19-315C/L177/TR8 light sensor
- User interface: RGB user LED, Reset, ISP and wakeup buttons
