Product Overview
ST4485EBDR is a ±15KV ESD protected, 3.3V low-power transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 communications. This device contains one driver and one receiver in half-duplex configuration. The ST4485EB transmits and receives at a guaranteed data rate of at least 20Mbps. All transmitter outputs and receiver inputs are protected to ±15KV using the “Human Body Model”. The driver is short-circuit current limited and is protected against excessive power dissipation by thermal shutdown circuitry that places the driver outputs into a high-impedance state. It is used in applications such as industrial systems control, and telecommunications.

- Guaranteed high receiver output state for floating inputs with no signal present
- Allow upto 64 transceivers on the bus, interoperable with 5V logic

- Shutdown supply current is 1µA maximum at (VCC = 3V to 3.6V, TA = -40°C to 105°C)
- Logic input current is 2µA maximum at (VCC = 3V to 3.6V, TA = -40°C to 105°C)
- Propagation delay is 18ns typical at (RL= 27 ohm, CL = 15pF, TA = 25°C)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 105°C, S08 package
