Product Overview
TPD4163K,F(S is a high-voltage monolithic silicon power IC. It is a DC brushless motor driver using high-voltage PWM control. It is fabricated by high voltage SOI process. It is a three-shunt resistor circuit for current sensing. It contains level shift high-side driver, low-side driver, IGBT outputs, FRDs and protective functions for overcurrent circuits and under voltage protection circuits and thermal shutdown circuits. It is easy to control a DC brushless motor by just putting logic inputs from an MCU or motor controller to the TPD4163K. It includes a shutdown function controlled by SD pin, and thermal shutdown. Ideal for DC brushless motor driver IC.
- High voltage power side and low voltage signal side terminal are separated
- Best for current sensing in three shunt resistance
- Bootstrap circuit gives simple high-side supply
- Built in bootstrap diodes
- A dead time can be set as a minimum of 1μs, and it is suitable for a sine-wave from drive
- 3-phase bridge output using IGBTs
- Regulator voltage range from 4.5 to 5.5V (VCC = 15V, IREG = 30mA)
- Operating power supply voltage range from 50 to 450VBB, 13.5 to 16.5VCC (Ta = 25°C)
- Power dissipation is 27W (IGBT 1-phase (Tc = 25°C)
- 30-pin DIP package, operating junction temperature range from -40 to 135°C
